The V8 diesel is not exactly the most common engine on offer, but it is an engine Ford makes and is probably best known as the engine of choice in the new Range Rover and the new 2014 Range Rover Sport (finally). Ford makes some impressive promises about the efficiency of the new Focus Econetic. The car has yet to be officially homolgated, but Ford has announced it expects 80mpg, and a hybrid-harassing 95g/km from the Focus Econetic's Duratorq TDCI direct-injection turbodiesel engine.
Maserati will show an SUV concept car like this at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. It's the long-awaited Maserati 4x4 shown in thinly veiled show car guise; you can expect something very similar on London and Cheshire driveways from 2013. Based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the 2013 Maser SUV will have totally new bodywork and a bespoke interior.
